Young Horse Development Program
If you are a breeder of show jumping horses or, if you are an owner of a young horse that needs to be educated, why not consider sending it to private school with Liz Ashton. Liz will break, train, develop and show your horse. EqSport is located in Victoria, BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. The Island is a perfect place to develop the young show jumper. Top shows, with good footing, excellent course designers and inexpensive entry and stall fees makes this an ideal place for a young horse to get competitive experience.
Jumper Development Program
If you are a serious show jumping rider competing at 3’6” or above, why not consider entering a unique Jumper Development Program developed by Liz Ashton. The Program requires you to work with your horse a minimum of five days a week including two training sessions with Liz. It also requires you to participate in a personal strength and conditioning program. The aim of this program is to help serious riders get to the top level of the sport.
Equestrian Clinics
In the off season Liz will be available to do a limited number of clinics focused on the gymnastic development of horses and riders both on the flat and over fences. In prior years Liz has conducted clinics across Canada.
Eq Distance Ed Program
Not everyone has ready access to good quality coaching and training advice. Even if you do, EqSport can provide you with additional opportunities and resources to improve your riding and training skills. If enrolled in the Eq Distance Ed Program Liz will provide you with weekly training plans for you and your horse. Using emails, video clips and/or DVDs; you and your horse’s progress will be assessed on a monthly basis. This assessment will be used in designing your subsequent month’s training plans. The program requires a minimum enrolment period of three months.
Victoria, BC is home to the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence, Canada’s first Sport Institute, and to three of the country’s finest post-secondary institutions; the University of Victoria, Camosun College and Royal Roads University.
